Hi everyone,

I would like to share with you this video of Ken Robinson. He is one of the most prominent thinkers in the field of education. I show this video to my students to talk about different subjects such as divergent versus convergent thinking, creativity and different types of intelligence. Some of the most interesting ideas are the following: every country is reforming education for both reasons, economic and cultural. Second, the current system education was conceived in the intellectual culture of Enlightenment and was modeled on the interests of industrialization. Third, there is no epidemic of ADHD. Finally, the children are living in the most stimulating period of the history of earth.
What is your opinion about these questions?
a)      Do schools kill creativity?
b)      Are schools alienating millions of kids who don´t see any purpose in going to school?
c)      Do you agree with the intellectual model of the mind related with academic ability?

  1. Hi guys! I really like this kind of video where someone is painting what the speaker is saying. About education I agree with the explanarion, nowadays the system is quite like republicans (if I do not misunderstud) square! and it forces the children to follow a path already planned, what does not mean the success. I think education should teach how to be successful but also it should teach how to be happy in the meantime
    Have fun!
